Surya Namaskar — Sun Salutation
A few rounds of sun salutations each morning build full-body mobility, strength and breath-movement coherence.
How it works
The 12-position sequence moves every major joint through flexion and extension synchronized with breath — mobilizing the spine, activating large muscle groups, and entraining respiratory rhythm to movement.
The practice
Begin with 3 slow rounds after waking, growing to 6–12. Move at the pace of your breath, never faster.
The tradition
Hatha Yoga
Cautions
- ⚠ Bend knees generously if hamstrings are tight; skip jump-backs with wrist or back issues.

Inversions & The Circulation Glow
Gentle inversions (legs-up-the-wall, downward dog) briefly boost facial circulation and deeply relax the nervous system.
Sunlight — Dose Makes the Medicine
Morning light anchors your body clock and mood; unprotected midday UV is the single largest external driver of skin aging.
Contrast Showers — Circulation Training
Alternating warm and cool water invigorates circulation, sharpens alertness, and may support immune resilience.
