Long · 170 words
Cheerayu (from the Sanskrit chirāyu, “long life”) is a personalized companion for health, wellness, and beauty — the three faces of one thing, kept whole. It begins with a five-question Constitution Reading, then composes a daily ritual tuned to your dosha, goals, season, and hour: breathwork, yoga, facial exercises, nourishment, rest, and skin care, each carrying an honest evidence grade. Its AI companion, the Maharishi, answers from an evidence-graded library, suggests rather than prescribes, and says when it isn’t sure. Over time Cheerayu shows people their own receipts — sleep, mood, skin, energy — in their own numbers. A curated Concierge recommends only products and practitioners that meet a stated standard, with commissions disclosed. Cheerayu is general-wellness guidance, never medical advice, and is built local-first with no ads, trackers, or data sales. Public beta opened in August 2026 at cheerayu.com.
What makes it different
The category has meditation apps, wearable dashboards, lab reports, natural supplement stores, and chatbots adept in yogic wisdom and modern evidence. Cheerayu is the place where those become one daily rhythm — with an all-natural nutrition plan at its centre: the Meal Lens reads your plate, the Apothecary shelf holds 62 foods, herbs, teas, and essentials with real figures and honest cautions, and every meal, cup, and fasting window is tuned to your constitution, the season, and the hour.
One companion, not five apps
Meditation, nutrition, skin, movement, and sleep apps each hold a slice of a person. Cheerayu treats health, wellness, and beauty as one thing and composes a single daily rhythm across all of it.
Personal from minute one
A constitution reading, goals, season, hour, profile, and — over time — your own biometrics shape every recommendation. Two members with the same goal get different mornings.
Ancient wisdom, modern evidence, honestly graded
Every entry in the Codex names its mechanism and its grade — established, emerging, or traditional. Cheerayu never inflates a tradition into a proven claim, and never dismisses a tradition because trials are young.
A Sage with conduct written into code
The Maharishi suggests and never prescribes; refuses diagnosis and medication directives; escalates emergencies; says “I don’t know” when the library is silent. These behaviours are enforced by a guardrail that runs on every answer, not by hope.
Receipts, not promises
Outcome proof from a person’s own data — “you’ve slept 41 more minutes a night since March” — replaces the industry’s before-and-after marketing.
Honest commerce
The Concierge recommends only what meets a stated standard: genuine, independently tested, honestly priced — or nothing. Commissions are disclosed at the click; member discounts come from Cheerayu’s share, never the maker’s.
What Cheerayu does
Personalized to constitution, goals, season, hour, profile, and — over time — a person's own data. 21 practices are fully voice-guided.
Know yourself
The Constitution Reading
Five questions, no account: your Ayurvedic constitution (Vata · Pitta · Kapha), what it gives you, what slips when you are out of balance, one practice, one food, your natural eating window — beautifully shareable.
The Blueprint
A personal profile — constitution, goals, rhythm, dietary preferences, conditions, life stage — honored in every recommendation, from the Sage to the shelf.
The Prana Score
A daily 0–100 read across mind, body, radiance, and rhythm, with the reasons shown, never a black box.
Practice, daily
The daily ritual
A morning-to-night sequence tuned to constitution, season (Ritucharya), and hour (Dinacharya); a busy-day mode that keeps the chain with three anchors.
Breath, asana, flow
Voice-guided prāṇāyāma (Nadi Shodhana, Bhramari, Sheetali, the physiological sigh), animated classical asanas by level, and a timed Flow player.
Face Sadhana
Animated facial exercises for the face and neck — tone, circulation, and the unlearning of held tension — with honest, modest evidence.
Sanctuary & Rescue
Generated soundscapes and a two-to-ten-minute stress toolkit that learns which remedy works for you.
Programs & trials
Multi-day journeys (sleep rescue, radiance, foundation) and Sankalpa Trials — N-of-1 experiments on your own biology.
Nourish
Eat with the day
Foods, spices, herbs, and teas chosen for your constitution, the season, and the hour; a fasting window tuned to your rhythm.
The Meal Lens
Photograph a plate; get a nourishment score, dosha notes, and skin impact — food-as-medicine framing, never calorie shaming.
The Apothecary
62 foods, herbs, teas, and essentials with real serving figures, sensible doses, cautions, and an honest evidence grade — including the longevity frontier (urolithin A, sulforaphane, olive-oil polyphenols).
Radiance & rhythm
The Radiance Mirror
A glow trend computed on your device; photos stored only in your private space.
Biometrics
Wearable imports (Apple Health, Fitbit, CSV), Oura live sync, the phone-sensing Sentinel, and Horizon — a forward simulation of where your rhythm is taking you.
Receipts & outcome proof
Before-and-after in your own numbers: sleep minutes, regularity, resting heart rate, HRV, steps, skin, energy, mood.
Cycle & Circle
Opt-in, private cycle tracking; a Household Circle that shares streaks and never histories.
Guidance & goods
The Maharishi
An AI companion voiced as a sage — memory, voice, live transcript — grounded in the Codex, with guardrails in code and an honest “I don’t know.”
The Codex
63 evidence-graded entries across sleep, stress, skin, nutrition, movement, and longevity science — the library the Sage stands on, public to read.
The Concierge & Marketplace
A shopping and booking agent that recommends only items meeting a stated standard — with what to demand and what to walk past — and, in the next phase, a marketplace with the split shown before you pay.
Who it is for
Adults 18 to 60 — and beyond
Anyone who wants to feel good, do good, and live long: people already spending on sleep, supplements, and skin who want one honest guide instead of five apps and a dozen tabs, and people just beginning. We don't decide where someone belongs; the Reading does, and they do.
Households
Parents, partners, grandparents — each with their own Blueprint, streaks shared, histories private.
The global diaspora and the curious
Those who grew up with Ayurveda and want it taken seriously by modern evidence; those new to it who want it explained without mysticism.
Practitioners and houses
Ayurvedic consultants, yoga studios, spas, and clean-product makers who meet the standard and want to be recommended, not advertised.
Safety, evidence, and trust
General wellness, never medical advice. Cheerayu does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and says so on every relevant surface. Emergencies, crisis language, children's care, and disordered-eating signals are routed to real help.
Evidence graded, every time. Each Codex and Apothecary entry names its mechanism and its grade — established, emerging, or traditional — and carries the cautions a careful clinician would expect. A claims scanner in the test suite blocks disease-treatment language from ever shipping.
AI with conduct in code. The Maharishi is an AI system, disclosed as such at the point of use. It answers from the library with a coverage grade, passes through an output guardrail before a person sees a word, cites only when coverage exists, and is throttled and cost-routed.
Privacy by construction. Local-first records, one session cookie, no ad networks or trackers, first-party analytics with hashed ids, export and deletion in one click, encrypted third-party tokens, a consumer-health-data notice. Adults 18+.
Honest commerce. Products and practitioners are recommended only when they meet a stated standard; commissions are disclosed at the click; no ratings are shown until they are real; Cheerayu never sells placement.
Brand & assets
Name & voice
Cheerayu — one word, capital C, never “Cheer Ayu.” Pronounced chi-RA-yu. From chirāyu, “long life”; the happy English accident is cheer + āyu, “the joyful life.”
Voice: warm, plain, unhurried; never clinical-cold, never influencer-hype, never mystical. Suggests, never commands. Sanskrit terms carry their diacritics (prāṇa, Chirāyu, Maṇipūra).
The Sage is the Maharishi — an AI companion drawn as a warm, wise elder. Please describe him as an AI, never as a practitioner.
Palette & type

“Genuine, independently verified, honestly priced — or not recommended at all.”
Questions journalists ask
Is Cheerayu a medical product?
No. Cheerayu provides general health, wellness, and lifestyle information and practice. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Its AI companion refuses diagnosis and medication directives and escalates emergencies to real care.
What is the AI, and what stops it from making things up?
The Maharishi runs on Anthropic’s Claude models. Every answer is grounded in the Cheerayu library with a coverage grade, passes through a code-level guardrail before a person sees it, and cites only when the library actually covers the question. When it doesn’t, the Sage says so.
How does Cheerayu make money?
Memberships (Sadhaka and Chirāyu, after the beta) and a disclosed share of Marketplace and Concierge purchases — 20% of item price only, never tax or shipping, with member discounts funded from Cheerayu’s own share. Cheerayu never sells placement or data.
What data does it collect?
What a person enters or enables: check-ins, practices, meals, biometrics, optional cycle logs and face scans — stored local-first on the person’s own record, exportable and deletable in one click. First-party analytics only; no ad networks, no trackers.
Where does the Ayurveda come from?
Classical sources (Charaka, Sushruta, the rasayana tradition) rendered in plain language and paired, entry by entry, with the modern evidence that supports, qualifies, or is still catching up to them.
